Rachel
Williams

Relationship Manager

cleveland neighborhood progress

Rachel Williams

Rachel William’s personal beliefs are rooted in the African adage “It Takes a Village to raise a child”. She has spent much of her career working in public education. As an educator Rachel has discovered that failing communities expose their youth to negative development outcomes. At-risk youth are a symptom of failing communities and specifically failing communities of color are a product of racial inequities woven into society. This revelation has fixed her focus on equitable neighborhood revitalization in black communities. In addition to her work in education and community development, Rachel has served as a founding member of the Diversity Equity & Inclusion committee at Cleveland Metropolitan School District as well as a board member for the Friends of Garrett Morgan Advisory Board. Rachel is also the founder of VillageUP (VUP) an organization dedicated to positively impacting youth through the preservation of their families and the revitalization of the communities they live in. Rachel’s long-term goal is to grow her organization to positively impact black children and their overall quality of life. Rachel’s educational degrees are in health administration and non-profit administration.
